It really STINKS being right....

Lipstick Jungle has been CANCELLED....we all saw it coming...I somehow was able to explain why...if you want a headache, you can refresh yourself here from my blog last week....

I meant to post last week when I saw that Rosanna Arquette was going to guest star on Lipstick....you might remember her from WHAT ABOUT BRIAN a show that she was on that also got cancelled.

So in case its to cloudy where you are or too early in the morning...Paul Blackthorne PLUS Rosanna Arquette EQUALS a one cancelled Lipstick Jungle.

Here is the official article courtesy of Elizabeth Sloan.

Looks like we may have about 5 or 6 episodes left that have already been taped that they will still air.

BOO.

There are a couple of things that made up for this bad news:

First of all...right after I heard the news on the CNN entertainment blurb on the radio, they immediately played "To Be With You" by Mr. Big. Oh the memories. We used to play that over and over on the four square courts in 6th grade at Morgan Academy...so fun...such good memories....

Second of all...This will be the 3rd show that will either be cut from my schedule for me or I will have cut, just in the past few weeks...I cut Grey's Anatomy and I also just recently cut Dirty Sexy Money....I had 3 saved in my DVR and NO time in the near future to catch up on them....Plus I don't really care who killed Nick George's father...do you? So I cut it. And now NBC is cutting Lipstick for me....my point is...I feel so FREE....it felt like work catching up with some of these shows...plus I'd rather be reading....

and speaking of reading...I just finished two more great ones that I would highly recommend AGAIN.....I know...I'm always giving good reviews...but its because people recommended good books to me...so there you go.

First up... Morning Glory by LaVryle Spencer!!! LOVED this one...it was SO sweet. It was such a beautiful story of forgivness and second chances...and third chances. I also love LaVryle's writing style. I would say this is an "easy" read, but honestly I learn new words from her books each time. I love that. It is so good for me to stop, look up the word, then proceed with my read...it makes the stories richer and helps with my comprehension (for the S.A.T.s right?) ha! Anyway, not really that funny on my part but I LOVED this book....God Bless LaVryle!

Last night I finished My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult and I think I startled Michael when I GASPED with the events of the final pages. That Jodi...always a twist. I loved this one too. I'm so impressed with all the research that goes into these books....especially with all the medical jargon and the legal system and courtroom stuff. It is VERY impressive.

This book is very close to my heart. When I was younger, my cousins went through a similar situation. I mean not EXACTLY but I have a very fuzzy memory of all of it because we were so young. I'm not even sure if my cousin (really 3rd cousin, our dad's are 1st cousins...but you know how it goes in the south)...anyway, I'm not sure if Maggie reads this blog...she is a busy college girl so I doubt she has the time. Maggie was her younger brother's donor when he had leukemia.... I don't remember too much but I just remember my mom explaining it to me and saying Maggie is doing SUCH a wonderful thing for her younger brother John. I remember the bone marrow stuff the most...my mom would tell me that it just hurts Maggie so much to donate it. John did pass away after a long battle. His parents, who are the most wondeful people, ended up having a third child, Jackson, and he looks EXACTLY like John....a blessing of its own kind.

I think My Sister's Keeper in an amazing book...wow...I just don't have the words to say how great it is. So read it! and hurry...the movie is coming out in 2009....Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin and Alec Baldwin are on the list of actors that are rumored to be a part of it....here is the link...

Hmm....what else? Oh did anyone see my brother in law on the CMAs last night? He plays bass for Jason Aldean....I should have plugged this yesterday...oh well!!

Last thing.....and this seriously brought tears to my eyes....so I've told y'all that Michael and I, along with the McGuigans and the Sawyers are teaching a kindergarten class on Wednesday nights at our church Covenant Pres. Right now, they are learning all their songs for the Christmas program...so we aren't really teaching right now, we just have to be there for crowd control. We all six don't have to be there for this part...so we have been alternating and last night was our turn. First of all, our kids are ADORABLE...and I so wish I could take a picture of them and post it, but that would be too weird. Just trust me, they are hysterical. Anyway, when we were finishing up last night, one of the SWEETEST little girls ever, brought me a TEACHERS GIFT!!! I don't think I've ever received one, ever. I mean, I've never been a teacher!!! I might have gotten something when I taught dance lessons at McConnel Twins Dance Studio (shout out to all of you who might read this)....but I can't really remember any thing like this...

For Kacee and Claire...its from Abigail...and I sent one home with JP and I'm going to drop one in your mail box Claire....

The best part...its homemade, I know that Abigail helped and they are DELICIOUS!!!! We ate half of our bag last night.

I was just so touched...we used to do things like this for our teachers at dancing, church, school....oh the memories!!!

So Happy Thanksgiving from Abigail and from me....

I'm so doing this with my kids some day....

THESE ARE SO GOOD....I think they are a hersey kiss...slightly metled on the pretzel with the M & M stuck in them....oh my...SO GOOD!!!!

1) boo about Lipstick Jungle. It is somewhat freeing, yes, but I will be sad to see it go for it was one I truly enjoyed.
2) I didnt know that connection you had to My Sister's Keeper. While I loved the book, I can see how it would touch your heart even more.
3) Mr. Big rocks my world.

My favorite line from last night's 30 Rock was when Jack said that as part of NBC's green initiative they were filming a reality show about "green energy" mogul Me Ow's search to find a boyfriend. Maybe that show could fill the void you all are feeling...
